Two Sundays ago, the 2010 RFA Cup was held. The middle event on the Roofball calendar. This is also the newest tournament. The World Championships and US Open have been played since 1999 while the RFA Cup started in 2007. Check out the write up here.
Loren had a decent round 1 and advanced to the 2nd round before falling just short of a wild card to the semi's. I had a much better day not only did I make it to the semi's, or the medal round I got to the championship game. I played a former Roofball champion Steve Stupey. We battled until the end, I even threw an around that started to go over the house and came back, Adam Willis later named the throw the "Hand of God around." It came down to Steve needing an around to take the lead with his last throw, he went over and I went on to win. Check the pic.
The next Roofball event is held this September. The 2010 US Open. This is my favorite event since the day before the tournament there are the Roofball games. The Roofball games are open to anyone, you don't need an invite to play. There are three events a time trial, a team competition and the head to head time trial. Team PMS will be there to defend our team title. If you think you can take us down be there.
