New...

Not only do we have a new logo. We have a new show airing tomorrow (8.22.08). Our old friend Bruce stops by to talk about Timbers and MLS coming to town.

I did want to hit on one other thing. One of the biggest upsets in Olympic history happened yesterday or the day before or when ever it happened in China. The US Softball team lost a game. It does not matter who beat them (Japan) just that they lost. This is the first time in they had lost in the Olympics and the first time the US has not won the gold medal. They gave up three runs in this game the same amount of runs they had given up, until this game, in the 2008 and 2004 Olympics combined.

Unfortunately for the US this might be the last time that softball will be played at the Olympics. The IOC in their wisdom has voted not to have it as a sport in the 2012 games in London. Mostly because it has been dominated by one country. So did Japan just save the sport? Time will tell.

I just want to know how an actual sport like softball gets voted out but we still have, trampoline, table tennis, equestrian (horses can win the Kentucky Derby but not a gold medal), and speed walking (just plain stupid).
