NBA Most Improved Player Award

Hedo Turkoglu won the NBA Most Improved Player Award on Monday over Rudy Gay and LaMarcus Aldridge. Even as a Portland fan and an Aldridge fan I must say that the voters got this one right.

This award is supposed to go to the most “improved player” and not the “second year guy who gets more playing time”. Turkoglu set career marks in scoring, rebounding, and assists this year on a playoff team. If I had votes I would have gone Turkoglu one, Al Jefferson two, and Mike Dunleavy three.

Thoughts?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

...but did Turkapoo have his own Most Improved Player website?

RIPCITY RISING

But on a serious note, yeah I do think Hedo did deserve the award. However, don't overlook LaMarcus and Rudy Gay's stellar seasons that they both had. If you think it's only about them getting more playing time...look at the number one overall pick of their draft class, Andrea Bargnani.

Peace out
